Ferretti Group achieved excellent results at the Dubai Boat Show (11th-15th March 2008). Besides the huge success it enjoyed regarding both sales and visitors’ attention, interesting future prospects took shape concerning a project which is highly innovative for the nautical world.
The Group took part in the most important nautical meeting in the Gulf area for the very first time, with an impressive 10 yachts presented by six brands: Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Itama, Bertram, Riva and Custom Line. Displaying the yachts on an elegant stand set out over more than 400 m², the Group not only confirmed the expectations of its many clients in terms of visibility and prestige but, more importantly, aroused significant interest both in the public and the local authorities.
Thus, the Dubai Boat Show proved to be an excellent launching pad, with considerable growth potential for Ferretti Group in the entire middle-eastern area. Indeed, through the construction of marinas and other infrastructures providing convenient, safe mooring places, the domestic nautical sector is undergoing an out and out boom, reflected in the strong interest the entire area has in Ferretti Group yachts.
The Dubai Boat Show also provided an occasion to sign and announce a totally innovative agreement between Ferretti Group and ACI Real Estate, affiliate of Alternative Capital Investments of Germany. The project, named ‘Marine Legends’, foresees that ACI Real Estate will invest 6 billion Dirhams (1.1 billion Euro) in the construction of three pairs of luxury skyscrapers on Dubai waterfront, which will bear the names of some of Ferretti Group’s prestigious brands. ACI Real Estate will pay Ferretti Group a substantial fee for naming the buildings with its brands. Most important, however, is that the agreement also comprises the contextual sale of a large number of yachts to be placed at the disposal of apartment owners, with interesting prospects for nautical development in this area.
ACI Real Estate chose Ferretti Group as its exclusive partner in this innovative luxury real estate project, proving the strength of the Ferretti Group brands even in non-nautical luxury sectors, as well as confirming the Group’s wish to further assert Italian Style in the lively, emerging, middle-eastern area.
