From 27th June to 3rd July 2013 Riva, an iconic brand of the Ferretti Group - one of the world leaders in the design, construction and sale of motor yachts - will take part in the much awaited annual Masterpiece Fair London, one of the most interesting and successful international events cutting across several disciplines - from art to antiques, all the way to design. Riva will welcome the visitors of this important fair with one of its most charming historical yachts: the Tritone. This craft was designed by initiative of a far-sighted Carlo Riva who, during the decade of Italy’s industrial revolution (the first hull dates from 1950) - dominated by the myth of speed and racing cars –, managed to produce a range of wooden yachts characterised by a unique, unmistakable design. The Ariston – a luxury ‘car of the sea’ - was the precursor to modern day motor yachts, and was followed by the Sebino, which marked the beginning of mass production, the Florida, a homage to the United States, and obviously the Tritone, the first twin-inboard-engine model in the family. Featuring a below deck cabin, the 7.60-metre-long Tritone became the protagonist of the Dolce Vita, the yacht chosen by great Hollywood stars like Anita Ekberg, who was pictured many times on her Tritone No. 142, with its unmistakable zebra upholstery. This legendary motor yacht will be on display in an entirely dedicated area set up thanks to the cooperation of Ventura UK Limited, the British dealer of the Ventura Group, one of the leading Distributors in Ferretti Group's network. Masterpiece, which has reached its fourth edition this year, is a multidisciplinary exhibition of outstanding works of art from all over the world, capable of blending together tradition and contemporary style, just as Riva has always achieved within its yachts. Riva’s range currently includes flybridge, open and coupe models from 27’ to 122’ (8-37 metres): Iseo, Aquariva Super, Aquariva by Marc Newson, Rivarama Super, Rivale, SportRiva56’, 63’ Vertigo, 63’ Virtus, 68’ Ego Super, 75’ Venere Super, 86’ Domino, 92’ Duchessa and 122’ Mythos. Largely appreciated by international customers looking for truly exclusive yachts in terms of both style and performances, Riva yachts stand out for their elegance, strong personality and the utmost care devoted to the tiniest details, in line with the century-old craftsmanship that has made Riva an icon of Made in Italy products and style all over the world.
