The new yacht combines and reinforces the unique selling points of its predecessors, with particular emphasis on the exterior styling distinguished by a sleek and dynamic profile and the generous use of glass for the hull-mounted windows, from the stern to the wide-body owner's suite on the main deck and on the raised pilothouse.The stern area features the innovative Ferretti Group’s patented concealed stairway system, already installed on the new 56’ Rivale. The garage can accommodate a Williams 395 tender and a personal watercraft, which can be launched independently.A choice of three engine configurations is available for the Riva 90’. Standard propulsion is a pair of MTU 12V 2000 M96L engines (1948 MHP each) for a cruising speed of 22 knots and a maximum speed of 26 knots. Alternatively, owners can choose twin MTU 16V 2000 M84 engines (2218 MHP each) for a cruising speed of 24 knots and a maximum speed of 28 knots. A third option, which is installed on the first unit, is a pair of MTU 16V 2000 M93 engines (2435 MHP each) for a cruising speed of 26 knots and a maximum speed of 30 knots (preliminary data).The Riva 90’ will be equipped with underway and zero-speed stabilising fins as standard and, upon request, can also include Seakeeper gyro stabilisers.

Of these, 8 million have already been invested since last year for the modernization of existing facilities, for the creation of new ground and sea infrastructure destined to the construction of new models and for the development of refit-based business activity.Ferretti’s consolidated order book (2017 forecast) is 522 million Euros of which 276 generated by the segment of yachts over 30 meters. This segment has grown progressively over the past 3 years, from the 87 million euros in 2015 to reach 181 million euros in 2016, up by an impressive 60%. The Group plans to close the current year with a further growth of over 50%, reaching a value of 276 million euros out of the total 522 of the Group.Over the past 12 months, the entire Navetta Custom Line fleet has been transferred to Ancona, with 6 dedicated workstations, in one of which is currently under construction the flagship Navetta 42.Five new workstations are in their final stage of refurbishment, and they will be dedicated to the production and refitting of super and mega yachts for Pershing, Riva and CRN brands. The new 3,500-ton synchro lift will replace the old slipway used today and will offer a high-end solution for the equipment of CRN mega yachts.Currently at the Super Yacht Yard there are 3 CRN yachts under construction. CRN 135, 79 meters, will become the second largest ship ever built by the yard, while the hull of CRN 137 of 62 meters has just entered the production facility: both will be launched in 2019. CRN 136 of 50 meters "Superconero" will be ready, on the other hand, next year.Pershing and Riva, with their respective flagships, Pershing 140 and a Riva of 50 meters, the first-born of the new Superyachts Division, are under construction in their dedicated plants.Overall, at the "Super Yacht Yard" there are 8 Custom Line fiberglass units and 5 Pershing, CRN and Riva stainless steel and aluminium vessels under construction.The future Custom Line flagship, Navetta 42 will debut next spring, while the first Pershing 140 will be completed in late 2018 to move to Asia Pacific, the market where it has been sold. The conference also announced the sale of the second unit of Pershing 140. The new model, revealed at the world première in Sarnico, is an ideal opportunity to experience the excellence of Riva concentrated in an open yacht of unmistakable style.The creation of a new Riva boat always involves a challenge to state-of-the-art yachting and a leap forward resulting in the addition of a new star to a universe studded with legends.56’ Rivale, the masterpiece which further expands the open yacht fleet, was presented to the world on 10th June during “Reflection”, a magnificent event celebrating the timeless elegance of Riva in the place where the legend was born 175 years ago: the historic Sarnico shipyard.The event saw the unveiling of the new 56’ Rivale as it sailed through a wall of mirrors built on the waters of Iseo Lake. The dinner for the highly selected group of 300 international guests was personally prepared by Massimo Bottura, the world-renowned chef of the three-Michelin-starred restaurant Osteria Francescana in Modena, and saw the participation of the Gritti Palace in Venice, part of the Starwood Group and the only luxury hotel with a Riva Lounge, set right on Canalgrande.For the occasion, the Italian artist Mimmo Paladino realized especially for Riva a masterpiece called Angelo di Prua, painting on the mahogany wood with maple inlays of the iconic Aquariva bow. The shipyard hosted other works of art by the artist, all in Transavangarde style made between the 80ies and the half of the 90ies.Another great Italian icon was also featured at this memorable evening: Abarth. A thin aquamarine-coloured line is a motif shared by the fabulous coupé models, the futuristic convertibles and the iconic Rivamare, of which the new 56’ Rivale can be regarded as the “big brother”.EXTERIORSThe stern, whose garage houses a Williams 325 tender protected by a hatch in double shell carbon fibre, features a major innovation: during underwater movement of the swimming platform, the steps on the left become partially submerged revealing additional steps in the hull, providing a single most convenient stairway for getting into the water and back on board without having to use the steel ladder, although available for use.In the cockpit, at the far end of the stern, there is a large sun pad. The mooring equipment is housed in compartments set in the bulwark; these are covered by grilles made in stainless steel, as is the fairlead.Underneath the roll bar, which adds a beautiful finishing touch to the profile and acts as a supporting structure for the antennas of the electronic apparatus, the main deck lounge features a spacious, forward-facing sitting area completed with L-shaped sofa and teak dining table on the left.This convivial area continues through to the forward section with a raised dormeuse, on the left of the new bridge, equipped with control, monitoring and navigation systems featuring touchscreen displays, including MAN-Boening's innovative wide version engine data display.Behind the control station is a cabinet unit set along the bulwark, which houses a fridge, ice-maker, grill, sink and bar equipment for at least 6 people. As with the Rivamare, there are practical containers for separate waste collection as well as various storage compartments running all the way to the helm seat and integrated into its base.In case of bad weather, or if the owner simply wants some shade, the electro-hydraulically operated bimini top can be opened as can the clear side shields, offering excellent shelter and protection for the whole area.The foredeck has a reclining sun pad that can be protected with a top. In addition to the sun pad there is a glazed floor with a special non-slip surface, set into a stainless steel frame completed by the warning horn fitted in a marvellous vintage case.The case, made from polished cast stainless steel, is a tribute to the glorious Riva vessels of the past. The sun pads, seating and outdoor sofas are upholstered in an original Mambo Artic technical fabric exclusively created for Riva.INTERIORSBelow deck, the 56’ Rivale offers its guests the comfort of a very elegant lounge-dinette, where mirrored surfaces alternate with varnished mahogany, dark lacquered woods and dark leather coverings. The resulting interplay of different colours and materials is the “signature” of Riva interiors.Sofas and ottoman seats are covered in fabric created by Ivano Redaelli, an Italian company that supplied the decorative cushions and tartan blanket too. The wall-to-wall carpet is manufactured by the Dutch company Van Besouw.The galley, situated on the port side, is partly invisible thanks to the mirrored walls - where the TV screen is located - and the sliding lacquered surfaces covering the sink and work tops. It features a host of storage cabinets and, in the fridge area, a unit equipped with the bar set includes a special compartment for storing a Champagne magnum.A glass hatch cover, in addition to the large hull windows, ensures there is abundant natural light in the galley.The independent day head, accessed directly from the dinette, makes it possible to exploit the full potential of the open yacht for day cruises, as guests can use this facility without entering cabins and bathrooms used by those staying overnight.The sleeping area features two en suite cabins in which one can admire the same interplay of colours and materials found in the lounge, in addition to the striking contrast between the white leather covering of the headboard and border and the dark leather on the tops of the bedside tables and bases of the beds.On this first 56’ Rivale, the soft furnishings (cushions, bedspreads, tartan blankets and wall-to-wall carpets) are also designed and supplied by Ivano Redaelli and Van Besouw.The master suite has the head on the left side, while the VIP cabin situated in the forward area features many storage compartments and a starboard side head.The heads décor consists of different woods, light and dark lacquered surfaces, mirrored surfaces and white Corian. The crew cabin has a single bed with bathroom with separate access from a hatch in the cockpit, concealed by the dormeuse. It can be replaced by a third guest cabin.ENGINES AND PERFORMANCEThe new open model is fitted with twin1000 HP MAN engines, or with twin 1200 HP MAN engines. In both cases, the propulsion system is V-Drive. With the standard engines, the 56’ Rivale can reach a cruising speed of 31 knots and a maximum speed of 35 knots. With the more powerful engines, performance increases to a cruising speed of 34 knots and a maximum speed of 38 knots respectively (preliminary data).Access to the engine room is through two hatches on the bridge, one in the centre of the cockpit and the other at the far end of the stern on the left. On request, a Seakeeper stabiliser can be fitted to minimise roll in open sea and at anchor.

Great performance of the first quarter confirms 2017 objectives.• Consolidated production value reached 562.5 million euros, +36% compared to 2015, The EBITDA of 52.7 million euros compared to 7 million euros in 2015 confirms the strong growth trend;• Net profit of 2016 reached 14 million euros.Ferretti Group presented today in Milan the financial results of 2016 and those of the first quarter of 2017. The Group announced the first elements of a two-year investment plan. 2016 results registered a consolidated production value equal to 562.5 million euros, demonstrating 36% growth compared to 414.8 million euros in 2015. This value is also higher than the one established at the beginning of 2016 at 556 million euros.The EBITDA, already in positive territory in the first quarter of 2016, managed to surpass the important threshold of 50 million euros at the end of the year, reaching 52.7 million euros compared to 7 million of the previous year. Thus, also this indicator was over the expectations. 2016 is the first year of net profit since 2008. At 31st of March the production value was 145.8 million euros, while in the same period the EBITDA reached 11.3 million euros, with a profit already over 4 million euros.Ferretti Group also announced further investments for 46.4 million euros, of which 25 million in Research & Development while 21.4 million in the growth of the production capacity. The investments planned for the shipyards, between the end of 2017 and 2018, could bring to a personnel hiring plan for 80 young talents in all production sites, all over Lombardy, Liguria, Emilia Romagna and Marche.This growth plan will be implemented only in case of a reduction in the company’s labour costs, which could be possible due to the application of the new Welfare regulations, which at the same time guarantee the increase of the employee’s purchasing power. In order to reach this result, the collaboration of the trade unions is essential, thus Ferretti Group intends to reach an agreement as soon as possible with the latter organizations. The hiring will regard in particular the Ancona shipyard, dedicated to the construction of maxi yachts in steel and aluminium of CRN, Riva and Pershing brands and to those of Custom Line in fiberglass.The construction of all Custom Line models will be moved to the Group’s “Superyacht Yard” in Marche, where at the moment all semi-displacement vessels are built, enabling to concentrate in Ancona the building of the maxi fibreglass planing yachts too.

These nautical masterpieces immediately distinguished themselves for the fine materials, meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship with which they were created.The first of these was the Ariston, about which Carlo Riva said: “It was designed with love and is strong and pure like a thoroughbred horse. Unforgettable! My Lord of the seas.” This luxury “sea car”, the forefather of motorboats to come, was followed by the Tritone, the first twin-engine boat. Anticipating the needs of yacht owners he in fact designed the Riva Boat Service, to provide technical and sales assistance. Having left the shipyard in 1972, the focus of his interests shifted to the International Tourist Port of Rapallo, which was dedicated to him on 25 July 1975 and bears his name since that day.In 2005, in Monaco, his “best-loved home” on the French Riviera, Carlo Riva was conferred the title of “Personnalité de la Mer” by Prince Albert II of Monaco. Ljubljana, Slovenia, 4 busy days with 90 captains and chief engineers taking part in refresher courses and workshops, including classroom sessions and exciting challenges out on the snow.They say you meet all of Europe in Ljubljana. This charming middle European town was therefore the natural choice for the Ferretti Group to bring together the expertise and character of about a hundred boating professionals from all over the world.Indeed, from 14th to 17th March, the Slovenian capital hosted the 2017 edition of “Convergence”, the traditional meeting with professional training and refresher courses that the Ferretti Group organises for captains and chief engineers working on the craft in its fleet.The goal of the four-day event has been to promote direct discussion on topics linked to the management of the Ferretti Group’s yachts and vessels as well as issues relating to the prevention and management of on-board risks and safety.On day one, the Top Management and the Engineering Department demonstrated the new projects unveiled between late 2016 and early 2017 which are currently under construction in the Group’s yards, together with the most innovative technologies fitted on board. The audience were also given an update on the significant large yacht refitting operations that are taking place at the renovated Super Yacht Yard in Ancona, alongside the construction of new maxi yachts and vessels for CRN, the Riva Superyachts Division, Pershing and Custom Line.The educational day on 15th March was very interesting. Two round table workshops took place in the morning. They were divided into CE craft and CLASS boats, run respectively by the RINA certification body and by the Pantaenius and Willis Towers Watson insurance companies. There was a speech in the afternoon for the event’s main partners: Man (engines), Seakeeper (gyroscopic stabilisers), Cummins (engines) and Cummins Onan (generators). The purpose of this meeting was to introduce the products installed on the Group’s yachts, while also providing trouble shooting and maintenance sessions.The Group’s technical partners took part every day with dedicated corners: Amaregroup (electro-hydraulic drives and glazed window portholes), Dometic (air conditioning systems), Idromar (watermakers), Naviop-Simrad (monitoring and integrated bridge systems), Oceanled-Indemar (underwater lights), Videoworks (infotainment systems), Webasto-Indel Webasto (yacht fridges, chillers and electric roofs) and Wolz Italia (teak decks).The grand finale took place on the 16th March with the Team Snow Challenge, sponsored by the main partners, in the magnificent snow-capped resort of Krvavec. The captains were divided into ten teams and competed in group activities out on the snow. Riva reveals the design for its latest open yacht at BOOT 2017 in Düsseldorf, ahead of its debut planned for late spring this year.It only happens at Riva, the only yachting brand to have left its mark on both the social scene and the world of design: every new yacht is an event that leaves owners and enthusiasts with bated breath until the magical moment of its unveiling.Those who just couldn’t wait and simply had to be the first to discover the secrets and latest features of the new Riva 56’, this magnificent open yacht was revealed during BOOT 2017 in Düsseldorf.The new vessel is already in build at the Sarnico yard and will make its debut before the end of the spring, joining the fleet that includes some icons of the yachting world, from the Aquariva Super to the more recent Rivamare. The yacht has a completely new hull form and brings the most popular technical and design choices on board, as well as innovative features and elements offering even higher levels of comfort than those that have highlighted the success of Riva yachts over the last three years.The Riva 56’ is the result of the joint efforts of Officina Italiana Design - the studio founded by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta – Ferretti Group's Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department. The result is a stylish combination of the most prestigious materials and attention to detail that has always been the hallmark of the Riva world: from the high gloss mahogany of the interiors to the natural teak of the exteriors, the lacquered finishes and stainless steel, mirrors, glass and leather. Profile and ExteriorsThe sleek look of the new 56’ inherits and expands the stylistic traits that characterised the latest generation of opens and coupés by Riva. So you will find large glazed windows running along the hull with flush portholes, aggressive metallic colours on the exteriors (the first vessel will be in Shark Grey) and opulent detailing in stainless steel and wood. The seamless windshield protecting the superstructure completes the aerodynamic profile, a true masterpiece of engineering and design.In the stern, the Riva 56’ introduces an important new development in the system used to move the swimming platform. As you walk down to the swimming platform, the steps continue under water to reveal additional steps built into the hull. This new feature makes it possible to go directly up into the cockpit without having to use the steel ladder, although this is also available for use. The aft area features a garage accommodating a Williams 325 tender behind the carbon fibre hatch.In the cockpit, the mooring gear is housed in a compartment in the bulwark, covered by a stainless steel grille, as in other recent models. Even the fairleads are made entirely of stainless steel. The living space has been cleverly organised with a generous sundeck in the extreme stern that feels almost suspended over the waves and leads into the lounge on the main deck. Underneath the roll bar, the comfortable forward-facing sofa combines with the L-shaped sofa and teak dining table to form a pleasant area to enjoy lunch, with a slightly raised dormeuse, next to the bridge. To starboard, the cabinet unit can accommodate a fridge, ice-maker, grill, sink and storage compartments, and stretches as far as the bridge seating and is integrated into its base. The roll bar not only adds a finishing touch to the profile, it also acts as a support for the antennas. In case of bad weather, or if the owner simply wants some shade, the electro-hydraulically operated bimini top can be opened, as can the clear side shields, offering excellent protection for the area.Access to the engine room will be possible through two hatches on the bridge, one in the centre of the cockpit and the other on the left aide aft. The foredeck has a sun pad that can be protected with a top, and there is a glazed floor area with a special non-slip surface set into a stainless steel frame, completed by the ship’s horn fitted in a marvellous vintage case in high-gloss stainless steel – a tribute to Riva’s glorious past. The technical mooring space in the bow completes the area.InteriorsThe standard layout offers two guest cabins and three bathrooms, with a dinette, galley and crew cabin with separate access. The master cabin amidships has an en-suite bathroom on the left side. The L-shaped dinette and galley are just as you go below deck, featuring mirrored surfaces and a vast amount of storage compartments, plus fridge and TV. The glass hatch cover increases the natural light in the dinette.Forward is the VIP cabin and its many storage areas. The addition of a day head accessed directly from the dinette is an important benefit, as it makes it possible to exploit the full potential of the open for day cruises with several guests who can use this facility without having to enter the master or guest cabins. The crew cabin has a single bunk and head, with separate access from a hatch in the cockpit, concealed by the dormeuse. It can be substituted with a third guest cabin on request.Engines and PerformanceThe Riva 56’ will be fitted with twin 1000 HP MAN engines, or twin 1200 HP MAN engines on request. Both configurations feature a V-Drive propulsion system and, again on request, a Seakeeper stabiliser can be fitted to minimise roll when underway and at anchor.

On deck, a stretched glass roof extends over the length of the entire living area, constructed with panes nestled in a stainless steel frame. A second window surrounds the wide body master suite as far as the nose of the bow, complementing the sleek design. In addition, the raised bridge enjoys expansive front and side windshields. Experts have already lauded the hatch with a victory at the 2016 Boat Builder Awards in Amsterdam.The stern garage door opens and tilts down creating a generous beach club area at water level. The platform may also be submerged to offer maximum enjoyment from the stern area. Once beneath the water, a lift opens the garage for practical and straightforward launches; choose to store a Williams 505 or a jet-ski with independent launches, or enjoy staggered launches for larger tenders such as the Williams 565 and a jet-ski.The cockpit on the main deck features a C-shaped sofa, table and chairs and leads into the main salon. An extensive open-plan space enhances the convivial atmosphere and includes both a living and formal dining area. The deck features yet another elegant innovation: a polished stainless steel frame supporting the superstructure and glass from top to bottom. This allows natural light to flood the three-dimensional space, creating a luxury loft open to the ocean on all sides.As on the larger yachts, the central zone serves to regulate the flow of crew and guests by keeping their circulation routes separate.To the left is access to the guest area below deck and the main deck master suite. The starboard VIP cabin forward has twin beds and may accommodate, on request, an additional Pullman bed.The crew area in the bow consists of a captain’s cabin with en-suite bathroom, and two additional single crew cabins each equipped with bunk beds and private bathrooms. Crew amenities also include a dinette complete with laundry facilities and a fully-equipped galley. The engine room is accessed via the left-hand side of the cockpit, passing first through the machine and systems room. This guarantees both increased practicality and safe accessibility, even during navigation, as well as reducing the noise in the cockpit to a minimum.FLYBRIDGE AND EXTERIOR BOW AREAThe sundeck of the Riva 110’ is striking in its sporty and innovative design. In the stern, the furnished open air sundeck is enclosed by a mahogany handrail finished with stainless steel and polished carbon fibre. There is also a cocktail bar with two stools and an informal dining area with C-shaped sofa, all naturally illuminated thanks to a glass skylight in the hardtop roof. The helm station is situated on the right side, with co-pilot seats on the left.The flybridge is not only accessible from deck through a sliding glass and steel hatch, but it also linked to the foredeck through a side door on the left. This permits easy access to the facilities and offers practical crew access to on-board services.The space is dominated by a C-shaped sofa opposite a centrepiece sunpad, all designed to promote sociability. On request, it is possible to substitute the sunpad with a garage in which to store an additional tender or water toy with appropriate launching crane. On deck, freestanding furniture may also be accommodated to increase the flexibility of the space.Alternatively, the owner may opt for a Jacuzzi with sliding integrated sun-pad covers. This conceals both the Jacuzzi pool and the mooring stations, offering guests the ultimate in refinement. On this model, the area is equipped with a practical stowage compartment.ENGINE AND PERFORMANCEThe Riva 110’ sports twin MTU 16V series 2000 M94 engines, each outputting 2638 mhp. With this engine setup, the yacht will reach a cruising speed of 23 knots and a maximum speed of 26 knots (preliminary data). The maxi yacht also benefits from zero speed and underway fins, to which a gyroscopic stabilizer may be fitted to maximise comfort, even when anchored.

The proceeds will support the Italian communities affected by the earthquake.A single unit in a "one off" edition by the iconic brand Riva, realized with Sir Elton John contribution and named after his latest single, was auctioned yesterday evening at the Yacht Club de Monaco. All proceeds will be donated to the Italian Civil Protection for immediate interventions in the areas affected by the earthquake.Ferretti Group has its own contribution to the territories of central Italy affected by the recent, terrible earthquakes. It does so with an extraordinary solidarity initiative, which stars the Riva brand, by auctioning a single, unique Aquariva Super, especially made in the exclusive "Blue Wonderful" color, chosen by Sir Elton John personally.The charity auction was announced by the artist and Alberto Galassi, CEO of the Group, during the Ferretti Group Private Preview last September 2nd in Monte Carlo."The center Italy was hit by a terrible earthquake that caused devastation to local communities, that are in serious trouble now - Sir Elton John stated. “As a friend of Ferretti Group and Riva owner, I am happy to support the Group's commitment in helping the populations of those regions acting solidarity.Ferretti Group decided to create and auction a special edition of the Aquariva Super called 'Blue Wonderful', to which I give my personal contribution. Our hearts go out to those who are still suffering and we are confident that the auction proceeds will contribute to comfort and help to those who need it most."The charity auction ended last night at the Yacht Club de Monaco during the Christmas cocktail organized by Monaco Boat Service, the exclusive Riva dealer for the Principality of Monaco and France.The Aquariva Super "Blue Wonderful", the only one with the color and interior elements selected with the contribution of the legendary British pop star and Officina Italiana Design - the studio that exclusively creates the design of the brand Riva -, went to a generous owner who asked to remain anonymous. The final and winning bid was an amount of 430,000 Euro plus tax.
