THE FERRETTI GROUP IN THE SPOTLIGHT AT THE LEADING CHINESE LUXURY AND BOAT SHOWS. THE GROUP STRENGTHENS ITS PRESENCE ON THE ENTIRE ASIA PACIFIC MARKET

Forlì, 29th March 2013 – The Ferretti Group, one of the world leading players in the design, construction and sale of motor yachts, with a unique portfolio of some of the most exclusive and prestigious brands worldwide, is strengthening its presence on the Asia Pacific market by taking part in the most important Chinese luxury and boat shows as one of the key exhibitors, with a selection of the most prestigious crafts in its fleet – the symbol of Made in Italy quality and craftsmanship. Thanks to its strategic partnership with Weichai Group, the Ferretti Group is indeed aiming to further expand in the entire Asia Pacific area over the next few years. This is indeed a crucial market for the future growth of the boating industry, particularly as regards Greater China, Thailand, Australia and Singapore. With the specific objective of developing further in this area, the Ferretti Group has decided to establish its subsidiary Ferretti Group Asia Pacific Ltd., based in Hong Kong, and to appoint Mauro Frattesi as Ferretti Group Asia Pacific Ltd.’s Managing Director and Alessandro Tirelli as Sales Manager for this area. In 2013 the Group is also going to set up a strong local team and open a number of sales offices and show rooms in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Qindao, Xamien and Sanya. The Group has undoubtedly been a “pioneer” in the Asia Pacific area, where it has been present since the mid-2010s, when it established a representative and promotion office in Shanghai in charge of development and sales & customer network management, which has employed Chinese staff since 2005. The Group has then widened its activities over the years by developing a dealer network throughout China, capable of offering Owners efficient pre- and after-sale services and a 360-degree assistance thanks to highly qualified personnel. The CRN brand, which specialises in the production of fully-custom steel and aluminium displacement mega-yachts between 45 and 90 metres in length and a line of 43-metre-long fibreglass displacement hull yachts, held a press conference in Hong Kong on 27th March to present the brand’s main novelties on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. Now the Ferretti Group is taking part in the Hainan Rendez-Vous, a really unmissable event for the world’s leading operators in the luxury sector that has now reached its fourth edition. From 30th March to 2nd April the Group will be present at the exclusive Visun Royal Yacht Club in Sanya, in southern China, also thanks to the support of its local dealer, Speedo Marine, and will be displaying a selection of six among the leading models in its fleet, including: the new Pershing 82’, representing thePershing brand, one of the most largely appreciated new models of the 2012-2013 nautical season and an absolute premiere for the Asia Pacific market; the Custom Line 112’ NEXT, representing the Ferretti Custom Line brand, for the first time on display at an Asian boat show; and four yachts representing Ferretti Yachts - Ferretti 570, Ferretti 620, Ferretti 660 and Ferretti 750. The Group’s presence at the Hainan Show for the third consecutive year once more confirms the strategic role played by this market in the Group’s international growth, the medium/long-term objective being achieving an increasingly balanced presence in the three macro regions EMEA (Europa, Middle East, Africa), Americas and APAC (Asia-Pacific) into which its commercial structure is currently divided. The Ferretti Group will then be in the spotlight at the China International Boat Show in Shanghai, which will be held from 11th to 14th April at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. The last leg in the Group’s “tour” of the leading Chinese events will be the Qingdao International Boat Show, to be held from 23rd to 26th May at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center. This journey across Greater China is yet another opportunity for the Ferretti Group to present at best its yachts in this region – true masterpieces that are the result of an outstanding production capacity combined with the entirely-Made-in-Italy construction process which has always characterised all Group brands’ models. “For several years now in China we have been witnessing the development of the so-called ‘Blue Economy’, i.e. the growth of a series of businesses and activities related to the sea, such as the creation of marinas and the building of holiday homes, yacht clubs and, obviously, shipyards and yachts. The Chinese boating market is gaining increasing importance, as also confirmed by the great success of all the main boat shows held in this area” stated Ferruccio Rossi, Ferretti Group’s CEO. “Our participation in the Hainan, Shanghai and Qingdao shows is therefore a unique strategic and commercial opportunity for our Group. Indeed, year after year, show after show, we are recording ever-increasing appreciation on the part of local customers for the Ferretti Group’s yachts, which are the ultimate embodiment of the excellence of the Italian boating industry, thanks to constant technological innovation, outstanding performances, a “futuristic” style, and the emotions that these yachts are able to convey. In the light of our already significant achievements and our ambitions for the future, we can only look at this market with well-grounded optimism, as we think this area will offer us interesting growth opportunities over the next few years”.
