Ferretti Group showcasing excellence at Montenapoleone Yacht Club 2016.
The Group participates with six brands in an exclusive week-long celebration
Milan, 12 May 2016 - From 16 to 22 May, Ferretti Group will be absolute protagonist, with a full six brands, of MonteNapoleone Yacht Club 2016, the event that for the second consecutive year will celebrate partnerships between the most important shipyards and the world of fashion and luxury.
Organized by Associazione MonteNapoleone and sponsored by the City of Milan, the event aims to enhance the bond between these two areas of excellence by presenting them “on the runway” together for an entire week on Via Montenapoleone.
In addition to Riva and CRN, which participated to the first edition in 2015, this year Ferretti Group will bring Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Itama, and Custom Line. Each brand will be paired with a famous name in fashion, jewellery, accessories, or watchmaking. Ferretti Yachts and CRN join forces with Piaget and Audemars Piguet, respectively; Pershing teams up with Montblanc; Itama pairs with Italia Independent; and Custom Line and Riva will be linked with Etro and Larusmiani.

From Monday 16 through Sunday 22, guests of the six boutiques will get a close-up look of the latest from Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Itama, Riva, CRN and Custom Line, through exhibitions and installations created especially for the event.
Scale models of the yachts will be on display in the windows, display cases, and sitting areas of the boutiques alongside the products of our partner companies. Starting in the late afternoon of Wednesday 18 May, the entire Via Montenapoleone will come alive with the exclusive invitation-only cocktail party, creating a choral celebration of this partnership between two worlds of elite luxury, excellence, and style.
The historic brand of flybridge yachts, with a fleet ranging from 14 to 29 metres (45-96 feet), will team up with Piaget, the Swiss maker of luxury watches and jewellery. Both in the boutique and on the rooftop terrace overlooking Via Verri, guests will have the opportunity to admire the beauty of the models showcased by Ferretti Yachts, and the mechanical perfection of the watches and the elegance of the jewellery crafted by Piaget. They will discover two souls joined by a common design philosophy based on meticulous attention to detail and the utmost satisfaction of their customers, who are loyal to the enduring reliability of these two inimitable brands.
The super-sporty nature of Pershing, the benchmark brand in the production of high performance coupés from 14 to 43 metres (54-140 feet), joins forces with Montblanc, synonymous worldwide with the most celebrated writing instruments, as well as watches, jewellery, and leather goods. What they share is an unrivalled blending of aesthetics and performance, the result of constant cutting-edge research. In particular, Pershing DNA, always innovative in its use of advanced technologies and materials such as carbon fibre, will be on display alongside an exclusive showing of Montblanc’s new Extreme Collection, made using a patented high-performance leather.
The Mediterranean soul of Itama, the Italian shipyard producing open yachts from 14 to 24 metres (45-75 feet), known worldwide for the unmistakable style of their hulls, is mirrored in the creative spirit of Italia Independent, an eyewear brand established in 2007 by Lapo Elkann, Andrea Tessitore, and Giovanni Accongiagioco. For the occasion of MonteNapoleone Yacht Club, this brand of creativity and style will partner with Itama.
The timeless style and elegance of Riva, a nautical legend with its 174 years of history and a fleet ranging from 8 to over 90 metres, composed of open, coupé, and flybridge models, along with the new steel and aluminium superyachts, makes a perfect match with the craftsmanship of Larusmiani, the historic Italian luxury apparel and tailoring house. An ideal pairing between two icons in perfect balance between classic and contemporary, joining tradition and innovation based on a passion for the product that is the true essence of Made in Italy. The boutique on the corner of Via Montenapoleone and Via Verri will be transformed into a “Riva Lounge” set up exclusively – and for the first time in Milan – through 9 June, on the second floor of the Larusmiani Concept Boutique. On display: scale reproductions of the most recent yachts, two magnificent photography exhibitions, and a splendid wooden Racer, the oldest example of a Riva in existence, built in the first half of the last century. This is the emblem of one of the most legendary epochs of the brand, evoked in the book Riva Corsa - The Origin of the Myth, available in preview during the MonteNapoleone Yacht Club event. The cocktail party on Wednesday 18 will be organized by the Gritti Palace, the well-known Venice hotel where the first Riva Lounge was inaugurated last year, featuring a view over the Grand Canal.
The uniqueness of CRN, the yard that builds steel and aluminium mega yachts from 50 to 90 metres, characterized by the quest for completely customized design solutions, is a perfect match with Audemars Piguet, the oldest Swiss watch manufacturer, still run by the founding families. Two parallel paths with a wealth of insights that together have contributed to writing exquisitely beautiful pages in the history of international style excellence, making these two companies true trendsetters in their respective industries. A variety of objects related to seagoing navigation, including some historical pieces, will be on display in the Audemars Piguet boutique. In the windows and inside the shop, guests will be able to admire a number of scale models of the yachts built in the Ancona-based yard.
Custom Line is renowned worldwide for its fleet of planing and semi-planing yachts from 28 to 42 metres, featuring totally customized furnishings and outfittings, all tailored to the owner’s tastes. The elegant design and exquisite materials typical of Custom Line are echoed by Etro, where the New Tradition concept is expressed through the combination of artisan craftsmanship and creative experimentation.
