The Riva brand is presenting at Festival International de la Plaisance Iseo and, as world premieres, Rivarama Super and 75’ Venere Super, together with Aquariva hull number 200.
Sarnico, 6th September 2011 – Riva will be at Cannes, 34th Festival International de la Plaisance, from the 6th to the 11th of September, with some outstanding novelties: Iseo, a 27 foot runabout, destined to become a must-have for those who love cruising and design, and two world premieres, the precious Rivarama Super and 75’ Venere Super, the new edition of two of the brand’s most popular models, enriched with new details and extensively restyled.
Riva chose the Festival de la Plaisance to celebrate also the success of a boat which is considered to be the symbol of the shipyard, the Aquariva: on this occasion the Aquariva hull number 200 will be on display; it is a goal that testifies the uniqueness of this model, that in ten years never stopped to conquer owners from around the world.
Also three other models of the Riva fleet will be available for visitors: 68’ Ego Super, 86’ Domino and 92’ Duchessa.
All the models have been developed by the designers at Officina Italiana Design, the exclusive designer of all the yachts in the Riva range, in association with the AYT - Advanced Yacht Technology - the Ferretti Group’s naval research and design centre and the team of architects and designers at Centro Stile Ferrettigroup. Designed to satisfy the clientele’s demands, all Riva models are a perfect balance of cutting-edge technology, design and craftsmanship, guaranteeing a heightened performance enhanced by refined, elegant, timeless beauty.
“This year too, at the Festival International de la Plaisance, Riva is presenting itself with three excellent novelties,” stated Norberto Ferretti, Founder and Chairman of the Group which carries his name, “and a great, unique successful boat of which I am truly proud: Aquariva hull number 200, now on display, testifies the timeless quality and design that made Riva the legend it is today in the nautical world.
RIVA NOVELTIES
34th Festival International de la Plaisance in Cannes:
• Iseo
• Rivarama Super
• 75’ Venere Super
ISEO
Iseo will thrill those who enjoy taking trips out to lakes or the sea in a comfortable runabout which can easily be transported anywhere. The new model, the smallest in the fleet, has been designed as a yacht that Owners can enjoy wherever they travel: this is why a personalized trailer has been designed and is supplied with the standard version, allowing owners to tow the yacht easily behind their vehicles. Moreover, her size and ease of handling make this boat the perfect choice as a tender for a large yacht, too, ideal for short trips and transfers during holidays at sea.
In just 27 feet, the new Iseo, noble heir to a history of excellence and artisan skill lasting over a hundred years, allows those aboard to experience firsthand the perfection and style which have made Riva a true icon of glamour and elegance for over a century. The prestige of the new Riva model is also accentuated by her furnishings. Indeed, the optional version of the Iseo will be available with a sundeck, sofas, dashboard and driving seat produced by Poltrona Frau.
Iseo also responds to the increasing demand for on-board infotainment: she is, in fact the very first yacht of her kind to be fitted out with infotainment and GPS cartography based on the iPAD Apple platform. The software, specially developed for Riva Iseo, will offer many interesting facilities such as reading the Owner’s manual or weather data and other information, as well as the opportunity to listen to the radio or their playlists in high fidelity and watch streaming.
The continuous quest for innovation is also clear from the choice of engines: the standard diesel version of Iseo features a Yanmar 6BY2 260 260mhp engine with a duoprop ZT370 stern drive. Alternatively, the optional version offers a Yanmar 8LV 320 320mhp engine with a duoprop ZT370 stern drive. The petrol version of Riva Iseo has a Mercruiser 377 DTS MAG 320 V8 320mhp and Bravo Three stern drive.
Iseo will also be available in a version equipped with a hybrid engine which offers the chance to operate in ZEM (Zero Emission Mode) – pioneered by the Ferretti Group – making the runabout particularly suited for use on lakes, even those on which normal cruising is forbidden. The ‘Hybrid Propulsion ZEM’ version guarantees speed, by using a diesel engine in conjunction with the electric one.
RIVARAMA SUPER
The 44 feet Rivarama Super has inherited the natural elegance and comfort of the original model which led her to be called “the floating suite” and be appointed Best European Open in the 40 to 60 foot category two years running. This model has, however, been improved with new details.
The spacious stern sundeck ensures easy access to the water thanks to three convenient steps in non-skid mahogany. An additional sunpad has been added in the foredeck with an outer profile in polished stainless steel, equipped with a mattress clad in technical material which matches the mahogany of the deck.
The materials of the interiors have been completely renewed, with furnishings and walls in opaque painted oak, enriched by the use of mahogany brown leather with matching stitching in the table column, the bed runaround and the headboard.
Careful attention has also been paid to the accessories. As provided for in the standard supply, the yacht is fitted out with a leather bag especially studied to be stowed away in the capacious drawer located underneath the Owner’s bed; in the Super version, the bag has been redesigned and produced exclusively for Riva in hand-stitched leather which matches the upholstery.
A limited edition package is also available on request which comprises paint treatment for the mahogany coverings by means of exclusive artisan workmanship only carried out in Sarnico. This treatment creates special shading on the wood, the cockpit floor is mahogany and maple varnished with painted non-skid longitudinal strips and a contrasting metallic paint with cuts of colour for the helm station and cockpit area. The area below deck, on the other hand, can be enriched with a confortable handwoven grey and white carpet exclusively designed for Riva.
75’ VENERE SUPER
Innovative changes have been made to the spaces and furnishings of the new 75’ Venere Super as well, the new edition of one of the shipyard’s most popular models; interiors and exteriors have been renewed to optimize the space, in the perfection and painstaking care over detail which are typical to Riva.
The flybridge of the new 75’ Venere Super is enriched with a hard top featuring an elegant, aerodynamic line, ensuring the Owner total ease of use. A large window fitted in the hull provides an unusual, very pleasant view of the surface of the water, ensuring more natural light for the guest cabins and especially for the full-beam Master cabin.
Removal of the stairway from the salon to the flybridge has made it possible to extend the flybridge sundeck and, below deck, to create a more functional galley with new units and a side-by-side fridge-freezer.
The interior furnishings have also been altered and improved in the Super version, focusing on a simple, refined style. The use of bleached finish oak with Africa and sand coloured leather, white lacquer and new colouring of the galley and helm station make the various areas even more elegant and refined.
The dividing wall between the helm station and dinette, now equipped with new motorised leather Venetian blinds, plays on light and depth thanks to the use of steel details and a mirror fitted on the door. Moreover, the new colouring of the leather in the dinette, now also on the ceiling, gives the area a completely different impact to that of the previous version. Another innovation is new opening panel that allows the easy transfers of plats and food between the galley and the more formal dining area.
